We will have umpires for the tournament. Please be respectful of them.
Start promptly and exit the field quickly at the end of the game so the next game may begin.
Games will be 7 innings or 1 hour and 10 minutes from the designated start time. If you start late you will have less game time, as you must clear the field 5 minutes before the next start time. Please clear the field quickly so the next game can commence.
The last inning is open but you can’t go over the time limit. If time runs out before an inning is completed, the score reverts back to the last completed inning. (One exception: if the home team is losing after the 6th inning(or 2nd last inning) and pulls ahead in the last inning but time runs out before the inning is finished home team will be declared the winner and score will stand as is when time has run out. As in regular play once home team is ahead game is considered complete. We only continue in tournament play for the plus/minus differential)
Home team will be determined by a coin toss.
The first teams listed on the schedule will set up diamonds 4, 5, 6 and 7 for the 8:30 games. They will then have the choice of Home or Visitors. Please try to have the diamonds set up by 8:15 so we can start on time. Home or Visitors for all other games will be decided by a coin toss.
All teams should have their bases with them in case a team that has set up the diamond finishes early.
Game balls will be provided. Please try to retrieve any balls that are hit over the fence.
You are allowed 7 runs per inning and there is no longer a 10th Batter rule.
Ties these will be broken by:
1. Head-to-Head
2. +/- Differential
3. Fewest Runs Against
It may not be a warm day but so far, no rain is forecasted for Saturday. Good luck, have fun and I will see you at the diamonds.
